GOALS FOR GEARS
Verizon launched its new +gear product of tech & gaming accessories online store in partnership with Twitch gaming streamer, and Apex Legends player Dr.Lupo. Knowing his fan base and the wider gaming community are ready to crucify any branded ads, we knew we had to partner with DrLupo in a way that was authentic.
Besides designing the online store and its content, we also needed to drive sales. We hosted a Verizon sponsored Twitch stream called "Goals for +gear" and Dr.Lupo had to achieve goals we set in the battle royale game Apex Legends. Every time Dr.Lupo reached a goal, fans scored huge discounts on Verizon +gear, plus the chance to win entire gaming +gear bundles.
We challenged Dr. Lupo with a series of goals that he had to achieve while playing the game on his live stream. Each goal unlocked prizes and discounts for the audience participating live on Twitch.
